I just bought this record and to be honest I just replacing a previous CD that I had misplaced so I wasn't expecting that it would be any different from any other Blind Lemon album, a lot of hiss and surface noise (due to the age of the recordings). It is. From the moment I put it on I realised that the sound quality on this release is so much clearer than any other I have heard before it's staggering. I would seriously recommend this Catfish Records issue of Blind Lemon as the definitive release as not only does it sound great but it's got about 23 tracks on it not to mention some fine liner information about the great man. Apparently this label have a number of other titles, and to be honest if they are as good as this is then I'll pick up the lot, regardless of whether I already have it, for their sheer quality of sound.
