I was looking for a comphrehensive box set of Don Williams, something more in depth than the single disc greatest hits. I spotted this, and was intrigued. The price was right for a three disc set, and I love the guy's stuff, so I took a chance. Turned out that the live set was in sterling sound, and probably from around 1980 (There are no sleeve notes unfortunately.) The studio tracks consisted of lesser known material, albeit all strong and enjoyable. AS it turns out, the disc and a half of live material works as a good "best of", with the remainder being a well chosen collection of rarities and early material. Highly recommended!
