We have two south-facing bay windows that really need to be shaded from the outside in the summer.These are the only shades we've found -anywhere- that are wide enough and can also be operated from the ground.We've bought them three times over the past five years. Quality has varied somewhat. We live in a sunny and foggy coastal environment and mold will really shorten the life of these. Suggest spraying both sides well with an anti-mold product like Concrobium or similar before installling.We need every bit of the 95-inch width to cover our windows. We do find that the support rod at the top is just barely adequate, and the two draw cords. A shade this wide and heavy should really have a more robust top support and three draw cords. There are three triangle shaped metal loops for hanging the shade, which is an adequate number, but they are a bit flimsy for this wide size of shade, and we have experienced one failure. It was pretty easily repaired. The shades each came with three hooks to screw into your house. They are a joke. Use them to hang teacups in your kitchen and buy some serious hooks at the hardware store. All that said, the hardware and cord setup (except for the hooks) are probably perfectly fine for the smaller sizes of these shades.The natural color and pattern of the bamboo is attractive. It shades the window effectively and looks nice from the inside as well as the outside.
